This year, PPM provided concrete support to the Popenguine Walk, a major pilgrimage held every Whit Monday along Senegal’s Petite Côte. Alongside the Saint‑Agnès parish in Rufisque, which plays a leading role in organizing the event, PPM donated a batch of emergency medicines – Calseptine, Panol and Kinafon – to assist pilgrims throughout the journey. This donation helped treat dust‑related skin irritations and ease pains and minor ailments associated with this demanding walk. The parish expressed its gratitude for this gesture, which strengthens local capacity to provide quality health support.
This initiative is in line with PPM’s vocation, as a major healthcare player in French‑speaking Africa, to facilitate access to safe and effective medicines as close as possible to the realities on the ground. By supporting an event that is at once spiritual, community‑based and physically challenging, PPM reaffirms its commitment alongside local structures that work every day for people’s health.
